Native of the Peach State, Erika is the only child of Cynthia and Joe Brown and grew up in Austell, Georgia. She is a proud alumna of the University of Georgia and earned her Bachelor of Science in Sociology. Thereafter, she attended Florida A&M University College of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctorate. She is a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia. Currently residing in the Nation's Capital, Erika serves as a Legislative Assistant in the United States House of Representatives on Capitol Hill. When she has free time, Erika reads as much as possible, bakes cookies and cupcakes, travels, *attempts* do-it-yourself projects, and takes spontaneous adventures.

Hailing from Georgetown, Kentucky, Brandon is the son of Kimberly and Dwight Northington. He has an older sister, Kaya Montgomery, and a younger brother, Dwight Northington, Jr. An alumnus of Hampton University, Brandon earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a minor in Leadership Studies. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Florida A&M University College of Law. Licensed to practice in Maryland, Brandon proudly serves as an Assistant State's Attorney. When Brandon's not busy seeking justice for the citizens of Maryland, he enjoys mentoring youth, reading, writing, movies, and a leisure game of spades. Brandon is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and is an Eagle Scout.

The B&E Love Story

We met August 6, 2010

On August 6, 2010, we were introduced by Brandon’s best friend and best man, Ta’Ronce Stowes. We truly became best friends. We were in the same law school study group, travelled together, painted together, and were even roommates. Even though we met in 2010, we didn’t begin dating until 2012. Prior to 2012, everyone (and we mean everyone!) asked us why we weren’t dating or they believed that we secretly were. In the two years of being best friends, we realized just how much we loved and cared about each other, and on November 1, 2012, we started dating. Soon thereafter, we had our first “official” date at Erika’s favorite restaurant. Following their hearts, Erika & Brandon moved to Washington, D.C. to pursue their legal careers together.

Two years later, on November 8, 2014, Brandon proposed...and the rest is history.
